2 Charged in Violent Robbery of Arc’teryx Clothing Store in Vancouver
Anthony Britch, 35, and Alana DaSilva, 30, have both been charged with theft after using bear spray on a security guard and robbing the Arc’teryx store of $25,000 of goods. Britch has also been charged with assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The two fled in a taxi after the robbing. A witness was able to take a photo of the license plate where police subsequently able to locate, arrest and recover the goods stolen.
The incident took place in the Kitsilano area on West 4th Avenue, Vancouver. The security guard was treated by paramedics and was unharmed other than the bear spray.
Britch will remain in custody until a court hearing while DaSilva has been released with court-order conditions.
