Police Release Photo of Man Impersonating As SickKids Donation Fraud
Since 2023 November, a man impersonating as being a SickKids Donation canvasser is wanted by the Toronto Police. He is going door-to-door in buildings asking for cash donations. He wore clothing and a lanyard badge of Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). However, he is not a legitimate canvasser for the organization.
When someone challenged his actions, he became aggressive and physical. The SickKids Foundation does not ask for cash contributions or canvasses from door-to-door in condominiums or apartments.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-5135, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), or at www.222tips.com.
To make a proper donation, please go to the official SickKids Foundation website.

Closing Remarks:
We hope Toronto Police catches this individual and soon. Using a children’s foundation for personal gain is repugnant. If seen or if you have any information on this person, DO NOT attempt to confront or apprehend, call the police at 9-1-1 and provide his location and details of what he is wearing.
