Carjacking In North York, Driver Forcibly Removed From Vehicle
On 2024February12, at approximately 9:30pm, a driver stopped at a gas station on Don Mills Road and Sheppard Avenue was approached by two suspects, one armed with a gun. The suspects allegedly threatened the driver with the gun and pulled the driver out. They fled in the vehicle.
A few hours later, at 2:45am, the vehicle was spotted in downtown Toronto at Queen Street East and Jarvis Street. Two individuals were seated in the vehicle and were arrested by Toronto Police.
The Provincial Carjacking Joint Task Force has taken over the investigation.
Egal Liban, 41, and Jeremy Hussey-Butler, 25, both from Toronto, each face four charges that include robbery and fail to comply with probation.
